The Montessori Method of Education was developed by a woman who began an educational revolution that changed the way we think about children more than anyone before or since.
Dr. Maria Montessori was born in 1870 and was the first woman in Italy to receive a medical degree.  She worked in the fields of psychiatry, education and anthropology.

2.		 The key to the Montessori Method of Education is the recognition that children are special and of great value.
Through observation one determines the needs of the child and teaches accordingly.
3.  The atmosphere should be one of personal dignity, liberty and respect.
4.  The environment should be adapted to the child.
5.  Our program accommodates working parents with options of full or part time care at traditional day care rates.
6.  Cherub accepts children beginning at age one. We also welcome children in our summer program, June-August.



 

The Cherub Montessori Method is a system that seeks to combine encouragement of initiative and independence in learning with development of self-discipline and responsible social behavior.  Its center is the development of character.

The Cherub Method promotes self-esteem, instills confidence, cultivates the intellect, stimulates creativity, and develops the analytical cognitive growth of the individual.

Our method promotes teamwork, self-direction and confidence.  It is our goal that children become responsible, contributing, directed, and develop leadership qualities.

Cherub Montessori endeavors to prepare the child for life.



                   

 

What is a home? It's a place all your own. A warm, comfortable place where your family lives. A place where you can find respect for yourself and the people around you, where you can go outside and feel the sunshine on your face. A place where you can love, laugh and learn new things. It's the best place in the world.


Second best is a place that feels like home, where everybody feels like family. It makes you feel like you want to go there, not like you have to.
